Con l'arrivo della GTC4Lusso il concetto di vettura sportiva Gran Turismo a quattro posti e quattro ruote motrici non sarà più lo stesso. Già nel nome la vettura richiama illustri predecessori come la 330 GTC o la sua versione 2+2 tanto cara a Enzo Ferrari, e la 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, che coniugavano eleganza e raffinatezza dei materiali a prestazioni estreme.
